Washington Business Alliance – thank you…

 July 19, 2011

It’s always a treat when you get a chance to work with some very bright and awesome people doing some truly great things in our wonderful State of Washington.  I get the chance to do that and become a part of the Washington Business Alliance.

They are a great group of business leaders and the organization is growing every day.  Why?  Simple, because they are helping business leaders “take responsibility for our future” by putting all their horsepower behind making change really happen in this great state instead of leaving it up to the politicians.  They are focused on 5 key areas focus we all care about:

  1. Education
  2. Environment
  3. Fiscal Governance
  4. Health Care
  5. Transportation

After I attended one of their meetings, saw the room filled with some very influential business people (like their Board – David Giuliani from Sonicare fame, Howard Behar past president of Starbucks, Norm Levy a strategic icon, and Roz Solomon a past attorney and judge) and many others, I knew they had something special going on here.  How could I help…

As it turns out, they are doing some great things and are growing – but the word isn’t getting out as fast as it should be.  Not fault of their own, just moving slower than I think it should.  So I offered to help them with a Social Media Strategy and Plan, as they introduced in their latest blog post, “Social Media “arrives” at WaBA“.  By using the fastest and freshest form of media today, they will be able to get a lot more buzz, create more excitement and energy around their organization and hopefully, just hopefully drive some great changes faster than we could have done in the past.

Thank you WaBA for allowing me to be a part of your success…it’s going to be a great journey!
